On several occasions, my friends invited me to church but I refused. I laughed at them because I thought they were wasting their time instead of studying. Little did I know that success comes from God.
I am the youngest of nine children and five other siblings. Although my father was a church steward, he was married to three wives. As the last born, I was always pam...

Why worry when God Cares?
|
I stopped by a tree the other day as I heard little birds chirping and jumping from one branch to the other; without a care in the world. A song just came into my mind, “He watches over the sparrows, and I know He watches me.”
Wow! Immediately, I remembered a verse in the Bible: “Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, no...

Ministry of Music |
|
The history of The Apostolic Faith Church can not be complete without mentioning the blessings music plays in the services of the church. Music has always formed an integral part of the organisation and one of the major ways of communicating the Gospel to people. Many people bear testimonies that music was the major tool that drew them to the Lord and the altar of prayer where the Lord met them. Some came to church out of curiosity to listen to soul inspiring music and the Lord met them. I... |

Ministering to the Elderly |
|
The church visits five homes in London, two in Peckham, two in Catford and one in Bromley. The visits are done by both ministers and workers. During such visits, hymns or choruses are song followed by testimonies and a short exhortation to remind those in attendance of the love of God in sending his only begotten son Jesus Christ to die for our sins that we might be forgiven and live with him eternally in heaven. At the end of every session prayers are made for the el... |

Homeless Outreach |
|
Every fortnightly, a group of men embark on homeless evangelism within the Metropolitan City of London. Usually, the women make and pack the meals which are then taken to the homeless people on the street. One remarkable thing is that these homeless friends are always happy to receive us and discuss our literature with us. They are grateful for the shared concern and kindness shown by this group to them... |

Prison Evangelism |
|
The church has secured approval to visit Brixton Prison once every month. Usually, a minister leads a team of workers to the place to see inmates who will readily be waiting for them. This is usually a period when the inmates freely sing their sorrows out with many choruses before been fed with the Word of God. Workers are asked to testify of how the Lord has worked in their lives to help inspire the inmates and give them a sense of hope. These inmates are then left with literature to dige... |

Shekinah Community Project |
|
Shekinah was organised as an outreach programme to reach out to the community. It was initially intended to be a drop in service for those in need of company, mostly the elderly or housewives with little children but later became more focused towards a specific group i.e. the elderly and disabled. These people were brought in from their nursing homes to give them a day out. We had various activities like craft work, painting, singing, Videos shows and sharing bible stories. Man... |
